I have been an avid "winter sower" for many years now. I have always used Miracle Grow potting soil but was very displeased with it last year. It seemed to take forever for the water to seep through the soil when initially sowing the seeds. Does anyone have any suggestions on potting soil that works better. Living in NC and winter sowing is much more challenging than when I lived in Michigan. With the little snow we get it seems as if I am watering the containers all the time. DH is just finishing up my home-made greenhouse! Can't wait to use it!
