Cyberspace and Kahlua are coming along nicely and Torrone is just starting to peek through the bulb. The pic is of Cyberspace and Kahlua. The red scape is Cyberspace. - J
Hi, Don't you just love those red stems!! If I'd know they were going to be so red I'd have bought two! Mine isn't as far along as yours but it's coming.
My Kahlua was the smallest of my bulbs but is sending up two buds. It rolled off the chair onto the floor when I was taking a group picture and bent one bud tip but I think it was far enough up as not to have hurt the flowers, I hope so.
I also have Melfi with two stalks quite far along with a bit of damage to each of the buds (came that way) so I'm hoping for the best. Hopefully I will get a couple of flowers that are true so I can at least see what really looks like.
Fred: I have had all my emails to you returned as undeliverable so.....I'll just answer you here. I don't have any seeds currently with reticulatum in them but I do hope to have some in the very near future, as I still have frozen pollen from Santos and Autumn Pink Lady. I will definitely save some for you, I promise!! I do have to be able to get in touch with you though. Strangely enough, you and I live just a few miles away from each other and we can't communicate through emails!!âºâºâºDonna
Fred, I'll definitely post a pic when it flowers, which shouldn't be too long as I can see some of the flower opening already.
Donna, the red scape and bud was a complete surprise to me and the color is so deep I can't wait to see the flower! My Terrone is the smallest bulb and looks like it will take the longest to flower. The more I look at Melfi the more I am sorry I didn't order it as the flower is so different looking. At least I will have yours to look at :) -J
Thank you for getting back to me, that's very sweet of you! :-)))) Your Cyberspace looks out of this world with those incredibly colored stems!! I can't wait to see both yours and J's flowers. Keep em' coming!!!
