HI, I will be sending seeds to someone in Capay California for the children in the family to experiment with winter sowing. They have never done so before. I am in zone 7b so I am wondering at what time of year people in that zone start their winter sowing.

These children have just moved to a farm and planting is new to them.

I am sending them seeds for Coral Butterfly Bush, Indian Summer Rudbeckia, and Purple Cone Flower. For me the Indian Summer Rudbeckia is an annual buy maybe there it is a perennial. I am also sending them a power point of how to winter sow.
