What kind of daylilys? I have some big blue seeds still on my plant I could send for seeds or postage if you like.

carmen - I have LOTS of seeds I harvested from 'Sieboldiana elegans' you're welcome to for SASBE or postage (3 stamps). It's one of the 'classic' blue-green jumbo size hostas.

Send me an email if you're interested.

I have some Patiot hosta for trade.

I meant to say I have Patriot Hosta seeds wich are
variegated.

Jim

Do they come up true to Parent seedling or is it Potluck. I ordered the Hybrids' from Swallowtail. I never did Hosta's before.

From what I've read they mostly will not come true from the parent but it's possible. Even if they sprout solid green from a variegated parent, they may develop variegation in year two or three. They're just such cute little sprouts, they're fun to grow no matter what color they grow up to be. Instead of cotyledon/seed leaves like many other perennial sprouts, hosta sprouts have hosta leaves right away.

They don't need cold stratification either--the first ones I grew were in quart pots in a sunny window in June. As tiny as they are, they go dormant in the fall but come up again in the spring and grow a few more inches.

Carman, I still have a few Hosta Sagae, and Hosta Great Lakes Gold seeds,I can send you some for postage.
E mail me if your interested ok.
