ID on Cherry Munchers Please??

Hey guys! I am FINALLY back!! I have two Weeping Cherry Trees in my yard and one Western Sand Cherry shrub. I noticed that their leaves are chewed to bits, and I finally located this guy. What is he please? Some type of looper? Inchworm larva? Thanks!!~~Angie

I sure hope your community wasn't impacted too much by those horrible tornadoes!
I think your caterpillar is Erannis tiliaria/linden looper. The pictures on the internet show it with an orange head, but I notice yours has just molted - many cats lack their coloring for a few hours or more after molting.

Thanks Sherry. I do believe you have pegged the little critter. Hmmm....now what to do about them. They are eating my trees up.
