Good to see you back among us Donn, not many jugs for me this year, I've been giving all my jugs to Nancy, :) but I'll be doing a few later on after the holidays. I've truly run out of room with all the perennials I've sown in the past, so there's just a little space for fill ins of annuals. Happy Holidays!!

OMG!!!!! Where have you been ????? I am so happy to see you here. You don't know how much you've been missed by all - well, maybe you do. Seeing you post is a great Solstice gift. :O)

Oh, yeah, and my jugs are just fine!

Seriously, it's wonderful to see you post again.

Donn you stopped in!!!!! Great to "see" you again!!!!

You need to give us an update on your gardens and your home improvements. Are you doing some solstice sowing? I am too swamped with the holidays to get started before late January/early February. But when I get going I have lots of containers from generous Alberta!

Wishing you a very merry christmas......

Hey donn! Glad to see you crawled out from under the snow to say hi on this lovely solstice day!

Personally, I can't wait till the holidays are over and done with so I can start WSing and look forward to spring.

    Happy Solstice to all!

    Holy crap! Hi Donn.

You have been missed. I hope you and SWMBO are in good health. Merry Christmas.

Hi Donn - glad you came back to visit us menopausal old wimmen! How's SWMBO?

I have two jugs that are frozen now with yellow Ratibida and oregano. Not much, but it's a nice rack nonetheless.

I'm making pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes, salad and crusty french bread for dinner today. Topped off with a little chay chay chardonnay.

Ooh, bakemom, can I come over for dinner? I'll bring some empty containers or some potting soil as a hostess gift! I'm probably having buttered noodles or something like that - whatever I have in the house. Not going out in the snow today, that's for sure!

The Ghost of Winter Sowing past....Good to see you back Donn.

Bakermom hope your two frozen jugs get some warmth soon :)

Frozen they are. At least I have two jugs that are firm. The rest...not so much.

Donn, See how you bring out the best in all of us? What a guy!

    Bakemom, Too funny!

Thanks, all. It's good to see ribaldry is alive and well at the WS Forum.

I'm taking a holiday break from door and window staining, so I have time for the forum for awhile. Last summer's (phase one) remodel brought me 18 new windows and 9 new doors, and I have to stain them all this winter. After that, bank account willing, I have to buy the wood and tools so I can cut, stain and install all the trim molding in the new foyer, living room, powder room and master bed/bath suite.

I doubt if I'll do much perennial sowing this season. I have so many plants in the nursery beds I think I can go another year without starting new ones. Plenty of existing things to divide. I'm definitely doing 'Maters and Peppers, though, and as many other veggies as I can find room for.

    Nice to see y'all again!

Howdy Donn!!! It's great to see you back. Sounds like you are building yourself an almost entire new house!!! I plan to start sowing during my winter break from school. I'd love to see some pictures of your projects!!!

    Hi Donn
    Glad to have you back.
I have been busy all summer helping my youngest son and daughter in law.
They purchased a home with 2 acres with 1 acre full sun.
Got 4 beds pretty much done with more to do this spring.

WoW! I can't imagine an entire acre with full sun. I could open an organic produce stand!

Ghog..I'm slowly working on a PhotoBucket album of pics of the remodel. It was a major re-work of the first floor of the old part of the house...about 1250 SF, ripped back to the brick and timber bones. The entire floorplan was re-jiggered, and the systems replaced with up-to-date technology, from site-constructed ceiling beams to in-floor radiant heat. Phase one isn't done yet, and is already 60%+ over budget. Phases two and three wait in the wings, and phase three includes a 400SF greenhouse!

So nice to see you back. Still very busy, I see.
    Stay warm.
Can't remember whose jugs these were, but hilarious nonetheless:
