Aechema recurvata??
Can anyone tell me what this is? We were given the parent plant a while ago and were told it was Aechmea recurvata... it has now had heaps of pups. This is the first time any of them have flowered and it doesn't seem to fully fit the description of A recurvata or benrathii. They are about the same size as recuvata but don't seem to get the pineapple shape and the leaves don't colour up - I have some planted in shade and sun. This is a pup which gets sun morning and afternoon

This is a bigger pup growing in more shade

The top 2 photos show the colour of the flowers the best, the last one isn't quite right.
thanks,
Gail
