more knuckles!!!!! great! good sign, no knuckles is the bad sign :) just be sure to keep them warm and you will do fine!
    What is your light source?

Oh Thank you!!!!!! I have them under shop lights, one cool one warm top shelf,78 degree average,is this going to be enough for them? I have two windows upstairs that face the south would this be better? They wont get a full day sun there because of the Blue Spruce that is out front. Thanks sooo very much I think my heart rate has come down a little!;)

Oh and I cant convince DH to turn the furnace up to 80 and we are out of firewood! So in the window it would be much cooler right now!

no no! it is perfercT just right temp for good growth in the daytime - cool at night, this will give you nice stocky plants!!!! very well done with the two types of fluoresence, right? this will so you much better than a window! do you have a timer for 14 to 16 hours of light?

what I was saYING is don't be affraid to turn down the temps at night, make hubby happy too! warm blakets to snuggle under and \\happy cool plants at night! have fun; you are on the right track.

You have no clue how much you have helped, thanks a million!
Ok,than I am good, our basement,is where my light set up is,gets around 55-60 degrees at night.I turn the lights on for 12 hours right now, maybe I can leave the top shelf lights on just a little longer!;)(wont mention that to DH...lol..)Thanks so much again,I can sleep now,and freak out tomorrow about the Duranta seeds I think I killed,:P
Sleep well and you really are a wonderful person,I appreciate your advice and the time you took to help me out!

no problem you will be surprized how helpful the cool nights will be... be sure to keep your seedlings close to the lights if they are fluorescents! ypour temps sound great!

55-60 nightime temps are fine. You don't need the lights on for more then 14 hours. If the plants are looking leggy then your light source isn't intense enough or it's too far from the plants. Just don't overwater the seedlings and they should be fine. Congrats on your sprouts.

OKAY! What's a knuckle? When it comes to Brugs I'm so
    D%&* needy!!! ;0) Gloria

Gloria, I think they call it a knuckle when the seedling starts to emerge from the soil but is still bent over, the part with the leaves hasn't came out of the soil and stood up yet.

Dont feel bad Gloria,I was calling it a sprout...duh...someone was nice enough to correct me! I had no clue it was called a knuckle!...lol...
I have the lights about 4 to 5 inches above them, for now.I am going to have to take the MG's off that shelf though, because they are going crazy in there! :) Oh they grow up so fast!...lol...
I do have a question on the knuckles, how long should they be knuckles? The Sang is still a knuckle and I am afraid thats all it will be until it dies! The other 3 are much greener than the Sang, but not as chubby either.
I have been using a spray bottle to water,I just mist them once a day and it seems the mix is staying nice and moist that way. I have been really careful after I found my Duranta seeds are yuck! Everything else is good though,I have sweet peas that are touching the lights,I am going to raise those today. They arent leggy, just growing really fast! I have my whole unit enclosed with reflective material, lots of light bouncing around in there!:) I hope it is enough!

Thanks so much for everything, you guys rock! :)
