Last week of November I visited my roof top Amaryllis garden and was surprised to see about 8 Pippal trees growing amongst the pots. On checking I found the seeds had germinated on the side of the pots and the roots found their entrance in the pot through drainage hole.
Pippal tree is of the fig family, the birds love the fruit and scater the seeds all over, it is seen growing at odd places where nothing else would germinate.
