Boy, I can't even tell which way is up!

It's an Aechmea, possibly Ae. distichantha, but the bracts on the inflorescence make me not sure-- I don't recall ever seeing those on distichantha. It's been grown in such low light that I can't tell anything from the form either.

This the same plant grown in brighter light. During the summer, it was a little darker, reddish.

Could it be a form of Aechmea tessmanii? Need to see it with flowers and grown in full light. Toughie!

I have never seen the actual flower for this brom. All I ever see is a darkish remnant where the flower should be.
