Whats causing this?

I have most of my plants in my home made hotbox, and the light is diffused so its ideal for nursing newly potted plants, or it should be!

But not only has my agave pup paled, but now two of my Trichodiademas have done so too

(T bulbosum is unaffected)

I wouldnt think it was sun scorch as none of the plants outside the box are scorched even on hot days( a thing of the past now im afraid!) but could it be to do with the increased humidiity inside the box?

My guess would be that it didn't like being shut up in the box. Mesembs like good ventilation. I don't grow this plant so that's just a guess.

Try a thermometer in your hotbox on a sunny day - it may be getting hotter than you think in there...

i did that, it was getting up to 35C but I only had the lid on at night, it comes off first thing

Thing is, Trichos are tought plants and yet this is sharing a spot with more tender plants which remain unaffected.

The lid comes off in the morning and stays off until the sun goes down.
I finish work at 10am and get home for about 10 30 and sometimes it is already hot by then, but i leave for work at 5am so its no good removing it then is it?
