It's freaky to say the least!!! I wonder what that is!?!

Amy

From the way the light reflects off of it, it looks like ice crystals. I wonder if it could be some sort of fungus.

Dawn

Weird!!, possibly fungi!?

CP

I think "fungal fruiting things" would be my guess. I'd try a little fungicide (whether natural or man-made) and remove any dead matter they're growing on, in the hopes they wouldn't get around to infecting healthy tissue. You surely wouldn't want to lose a nice plant like that!

Creepy. If its moving on its own I would have guessed some kind of animal.

I think they may be beneficial...Lacewing eggs look something like that. Have a look at the link below.

Here is a link that might be useful: Lacewing eggs

I think Rosemarie could be on to something here.

It's not impossible, but these look a little more lacy/crystal-y whereas lacewing eggs are just one oval blob per stalk, and all the same size.
I had a few of the little buggers lay eggs on plants I was just about to bring back inside! I know they won't survive indoors, and my plants won't survive outdoors! Did some pruning....(luckily, not C&S)

To me it looks like possible tiny roots are coming out looking for dirt?
