That depends on what you want it to look like. I'd probably trim the small stuff growing along the trunks. You could always cut back one of the trunks and root it to make another plant.

I would just trim off the lower leaves if this was mine, but it's really up to you on the appearance you want?
Ya know those side shoots can be potted up and rooted?

I believe it was Mike that made that collar and filled it with dirt to make two plants out of one in a case like this? I sure would attempt this route instead of cutting is as this is a double. That way you would surely root it if kept in place and allowed to grow. After a month one should check to see if it's rooted enough to remove.

Are doubles more difficult to root from cuttings?

Some of them have been for me. I would air layer it or make the collar so it will root where it is.
