    Hi James,

Pesonally, I don't think combining 2 diff. ones in same pot is a problem; I tend not to do it, but I don't think it'd be harmful. Also I find them pretty slow growing (at least here indoors in NYC), so you'd have time to change/separate them if/when needed.

I like your variegated one, tho' I have a thing for variegated plants, I don't yet have any among my Gasterias (which are mostly no ID). Cute little pup coming up there too! They look happy too!

The lighter green one is an interesting/attractive form which I don't think I'd seen before, any idea of its name?

You could check out G. glomerata for the little one. I have no clue about the larger one.
Your Gasterias look very nice, BTW.

See message for Gasteria #1 and the same link mentioned there. Repeated below.

The one on the upper right looks a little like a young
x Gasteraloe "Green Ice". It will be easier to say for sure once it gets larger.

    Hey Ariole,

Thanks so much for that great link to an ID site. All the Gasterias I grow (except for maybe G. liliputana) are no ID.

I've never seen a Gasteria ID site before, holy smokes: so very many & such variety among them. Your link really did me a great service, I'm sure for others too. Thanks Again!

    You're very welcome, P.G.

I stumbled onto it today when I was gonna try to ID the 2 Gasterias for jamesfe. I picked up a few names for my own noids while I was at it.

The pictures on the website are great! Be just a little cautious, however. I noticed they have the wrong picture for 'Green Ice', which is one of the more recognizable varieties. Of course, most picture collections (such as desert-tropicals, altmans, etc.)seem to have at least a couple of incorrect photos, so this advice applies almost everywhere. I sometimes find my plants need big tags to fit all the possible IDs and question marks!

    Thanks Ray.

    Your advice is worth heeding.
