what do you mean a throw away? like just used for decoration for a while than tossed out? I'm not looking at throwing mine away. I have moved them all to lower light since I took the pics, thanks

Thats what a lot of Guzmanias are grown for. The flower lasts around 3/6 months and a lot of the plants are not named.
Cheaper than a bunch of flowers.
Yours is a pretty colour.

They take up space after blooming, space that can be utilized for better purposes.

Neoregelia is a better long term plant in mild climates.
