Al, it's a very strange looking plant! It's neat to see these come to life after dormancy. This one reminds me of something from the bottom of the sea!

Veeeery nice AL! I've only ever seen one of these, and it was only a tiny thing in comparison to yours. I reckon it's a really cool plant.

Yes, SnB, it is old. You can see where a mouse destroyed the center. Also, they don't respond to cuttings. In the recent six years it bloomed only once, I think it was about four years ago and then only one flower. :-( It was pre-digital camera, hence no pic.
