today, nothing planted. The planting and digging the last week did me in. So I rested. But YOU've been a busy bee. Cheers! Yeah spring is such a busy time but then the joy comes during the sommer, right?

Kylie...as tired as I am, I'm REALLY feeling your excitement! I potted up fifteen brugs for the back deck
so far and I'm also trying to decide which of the rest
will go into the ground/pots. Then...there is the BOB
to pot also. At least I'm able to leave them out to soak
up some of the rain. Nothing got planted today...just
    pulled some weeds.

Nothing got planted today...still too cold. But I did set one of my brugs outside this week to break its dormancy because the night temps are above 40, but I'm sure we'll get some frosts later on until mid/late may so I am only taking my 2 established ones in and out, the others will have to wait til danger is past. It is nice to see that spring is coming though. Over the past few weeks the daylilies, peonies, and tulips have been sprouting and the tulips are even getting buds now. Few more weeks til I do any planting though.

I planted a hydrangea yesterday, but nothing today. I've gotten a bunch of different things I had rooted from last year re-potted. Oh, finally potted up my Datmansias from KHT. They're looking so good. Stuck some cabernet grape cuttings a little while ago. Gosh, there's so much stuff it seems like I've got potted plants everywhere now.

Congrats on the plant sales!! I'm sharing in your excitement... I sold a hosta this morning and then 2 pieces of jewelry a little while later. It's been a good day for me. I'm getting ready for an upcoming festival so ya'll might not see a whole lot of me for the next few weeks. I've gotta figure out spots to plant all these brugs too!! My yard is just not big enough....

Nothing got planted here today either. I had to work and its rained all day, but I'm not going to complain. We've needed the rain so bad and I'm afraid that when it stops, that will be it for the summer. So I'm thanking the skys. It's supposed to stop after tomorrow and the temps up in the mid 70's to 80s. All my brugs are outside... I've about potted myself to death with EddieDewaynes stuff and now am just trying to decide what goes in the ground and where and hoping it all makes it. I've still got tons of stuff to do before I'm done. Yay! I love it!

Thats great. I didn't plant anything today. I planned to take the day off and do some but hubby got crazy because the sales tax from last month got lost in the mail so I had to deal with all that mess and go to the bank and stop payment on the check and send another one with penalties. Really made me P.O. because I actually mailed it early last month instead of putting it off til the last minute like usual. I have way too much to do here to be working, lol. I don't know how hubby did it all by himself before I came along. Just running the office keeps me busy. I really need some time off to get caught up though. Maybe tomorrow I hope.

Nothing is going to be planted for at least a week and that's as long s it dries out some. Everything is under water. That's great about the brug. What are you going to buy?

Well I'm exhausted from planting tons of stuff, mowing, weed eatting, pulling weeds in the iris and daylily beds. Just when I thought I was going to be "caught up" the mail lady brought me two huge boxes of daylilies that I had ordered and paid for in Feb. Thank God I had already paid for them, they cost a fortune. Now I have two more huge boxes of daylilies to soak and plant.

Took me half the day to water all the brugs I planted last week. So far, knock on wood, they are all doing GREAT in the ground. I guess only time will tell. I still have my brug babies I grew from seeds to plant but I wanted to wait another week or so to do that. A gardeners job is never done, and I guess that's a good thing as far as all of us are concerned. LOL.

I'm going to try to get the liner in the pond/ hole in the front yard sometime this week. I'm tired of looking at the hole with the huge bolders all around it. LOL I'm just about ready for some of those pond plants everyone is/was going to share with me.

Things are really beginning to shape up around here. I made me 3 arbors for vines to grow up today too. Of course the hardest part for me was driving the t post into the ground. That's hard work for an old lady. LOL

Other than that I didn't do too much, just sat and watched the birds, fish, butterflies, frogs and so forth. All in all a delightfully painful day. Now I'm going to soak in the a hot tub of water.

    Happy Gardening everyone, Marian

    Yesterday i planted

2 crotons i found on clearance at home depot
Transplanted 2 White Bird of Paradise pups
Several cannas i recieved from Texas (Thanks Marian!)
2 Phoenix Roebelinis (Pygmy Date palms)- Large, 5' tall palms for only $10
    1 Tecoma Stans
    1 Antigonon Lepoptus

and other than that, i've been cleaning my shrubs, since they have grown way out of shape. While doing that, i found that a passiflora cerulea is growing through one of my shrubs and is full of flower buds! the fruit isnt really tasty, but it can be made into a sweet&sour beverage. kind of like kool-aid. The passiflora edulis (whose fruit is REALLY tasty) is also full of buds. can't wait to get some fruit.

Your little palms and cannas you sent me are doing wonderful. Thanks.

two days it`s amazing how well weeds grow! not to mention
poison ivy that I found in with the weeds, that stuff is
    evil! LOL

I took a pain pill and planted some things I got from Barbra today and pulled all that crazy grass out of my one flower bed. In just a matter of days it was taking over and choking out everything else. Acckkk. I think it might be my cholesterol medicine making me hurt so bad so I am going to stop taking it and see. I just cannot be like this this time of year. There is too much to do, lol. Hubby is going to pay someone to finish my front bed for me since he feels bad for being a jerk last night, lol. The guy said he will have it finished by next weekend. Yeah! I'm gonna see if he will do the beds for the gazebo too since he has a huge tiller. I planted a few million bells and supertunias yesterday from Patty. Still so much more to do. It is starting to look better around here though. I can't wait til the beds are all finished and planted. Its going to be so nice with all my flowers.
