BST windfall.
hi
Timmy (my son, 4years old)and I were walking along along a farm road beside a corn field. I stoped along a patch of goldenrod and started finding BST cats, I kept looking and found more cats. I did not take them all, but I think mama butterfly was a little lazy when it came to laying, in one patch of GR, about 4 plants, I found over 15 cats. I took 7 home, ranging from the little blacks to small stripies and one fat green.
still having trouble finding manarchs, we walked about a mile and checked 60 or 70 milkweeds and found 1 cat. I had to shimmy down a bank and scratched my butt to get it, and timmy kept saying "don't fall in the river" that's what I kept telling him.
one question on BST, the ones I find on goldedrod? do they have to stay on goldedrod, I also have some I found on fennel and parsley in the yard and at the nursery, can you change their food? should they be in seperate cages, the big ones are all in a large reptarium now, and the little ones are in a plastic bug box.
have a great day everyone.
