I believe that's a clivia, which is not a bromeliad but a type of lily. GW has a Clivia forum, though it's not very busy. You might do better in House Plants instead.

Its a Clivea. In time the flower spikes with get higher than that. They prefer shade and moisture but are very hardy. Ive had a heap of them in a big root ball in some shade for a year above ground. Im waiting for the driveway to be fixed. There is a caterpillar that eats them if there outdoors however ive only had it twice in 15 years. Confidor works as a treatment but spray when not in
flower as it is harmful to bees. Theres a few varieties out now of different colours. Very nice hardy plant that flowers every year for me.

DeeCeeMe, please be aware clivias won't survive outdoors except in zone 9 or warmer (HI; parts of WA, OR, CA, NV, AZ, NM, TX, LA, MS, AL, GA, FL, and SC).
