It's a Snowberry Clearwing moth, and no it will not sting (doesn't have the equipment to do so). I raised caterpillars last year. Their host plant is honeysuckle and viburnum. They are one of the few day-flying sphinx moths and such cuter little things!

These types of moths are often referred to as "hummingbird moths" because their wings are constantly moving and they "hover" to drink nectar like hummers do. They are wonderful pollinators.
