Day Dreams

DD has begun to open. The inner skirt hasn't dropped much, hopefully it will. It was green yesterday but pink this am. A couple morning glories, lilies, coreopsis and my C. philippinum have also started to bloom.

Beautiful Karyn! I especially like the 1st morning glory and the flower in the last photo (what is it?). Of course, Day Dream is also beautiful.

Daydreams is a winner!!! I have one blossom, it is huge and unfortunately it is one of those shorter cuttings, so it's bloom's touching the ground, and the snails got to it, but is is beautiful and smells very good- like i said, a winner. Thanks, Mark B!!!!

And that Japanese MG is so pretty- I love those but my efforts this year a so-so!!! I do have a intense fushia called Sunset Serenade that has bloomed beautifully, from seeds that Mike shared with me (thanks again, MIke). You sure have some lovely flowers blooming right now! Thanks for sharing your bounty!

Very nice Karyn! Daydreams has been on my wanted list for a while, I may order it if SS carries their 25% off sale to next week. Is that dark MG grandpa otts? I started some Heavenly blue seeds but they all died when I planted them outside, I think I might have smashed them by accident because the stems were all bent. I only have a few minibar rose MGs in a Hanging Basket. But I don have some moonflowers but they are still very small. How do you have blooms already? Also, what is the flower in the pic right after the brugs?

Great looking pictures, Karyn. Is the fourth one (blue/white) a morning glory? If so, what name. Must add this to the garden! lol Gloria

Karyn, is that another one of those stuffy kleenex ones or did the second inside tube drop some? Color is nice.

The 3rd pic is a Clerodendrum philippinum, 4 & 6 are MG and the 4th is Grandpa Otts which reseeds everywhere. The last is a coreopsis. The inner skirt is dropping but I don't think it will come way out. Too bad. I like when they drop further down but the color is darkening up nicely.

    Beautiful Karyn as always!

I love daydreams it has a really nice scent.

It does have a nice scent. I can't really describie it as I can't think of anything that it smells like. The skirt is still dropping but I'm sure it's not going to extend much beyond the outer skirt. it's still a nice big full flower. One of my other Day Dreams is also blooming. This one appears to have a longer inner skirt. It's still quite green and it might be mislabeled. There's a slight possibility that it's a Wretched Mess because I picked up cuttings of both varieties at the same time. I should know for sure tomorrow or the next day. My Hawaiian Dbl White x L'Amour cross that had the gigantic dbl blooms last year is also opening. I hope the flower is the same this season.
