What is the pink canna called in the photo on the top of this page? I would love to find some of these. Thanks in advance!!

It may be the dwarf one I had in containers last year. The name was Tropical Rose. Grows 30 inches tall.

I believe you will find that the canna photo pictured above is what was named and sold in US as Chinese Coral a.k.a. Pfitzer Chinese Coral. It is somewhat of a historic cultivar that has been in the US for many years and was likely first imported by Mrs. R. Sarver of San Marcos, California back in the 1960Ã¢ÂÂs. It was part of the Pfitzer canna collection developed in Europe prior the WW II.

Unfortunately our virus issues and its somewhat slow rhizome productions have taken its toll on availability. It is difficult to find a healthy source for this cultivar at the present time. (see photo below)
