Start Planting Now??

19 years ago

This is my first time growing canna. The weather is still a little chilly here. My question is can I start them inside and put them near a window that gets some daytime light? Also is it ok to start them in Miracle-Gro potting soil and some bulb food I bought at Home Depot. Thanks for your help.
