Hi everyone (anyone!):

I just planted three types of Cannas on my front lawn....I dug up the grass, made a nice half circle (half moon) and planted my Cannas....but now that I have read a few posts, I am really afraid of the outcome ! I read that they grow wild...gosh, am I going to have problems ? This is the first time I do my own gardening completely on my own. Any advice ?

Thanks !

They are tough and can grow 'nearly' anywhere, but they won't take over your yard, if that's what you're asking. Enjoy and watch out for leaf rollers.

Thank you Rivers1202....as long as they stay within the area I set up, I am certain they will be fine ! I was worried they would just take over the yard!

    Many thanks.

Even here in zone 8a, they won't take over a lawn, & in your zone, since you'll lift them for the winter, you'll easily stay in control.
