If the stems aren't broken, they may right themselves. If not, you could trim them back to some good stem and allow them to regrow.

I had a similar thing happen here yesterday. I put a rock on the downside of the stem as it was not broken, and then hilled it up so that the plant stands erect. It might work. If not, I'll take the shears to it. .....just about to flower too.... ....always the way.

Depends on where it's 'bent' and if one group of cannas has other cannas on top of them. Are they pushed over at the root area? I would doubt they'll be able to right themselves. If they're broken along the stalk, the best you might be able to do is cut them back just below that area.

That's a heck of a lot of cannas you have! :)

My method described yesterday did not work. Tonight, I put a stake near the downed plant and tied it up. Of course, the stake had to be a distance from the plant so as not to puncture the root system. Surprisingly, it looks to be in good shape other than being bent. We'll see how that works.

Are you sure they haven't gotten top heavy and bent over cause the soil isn't firm enough due to the rain?

this happened to me and I just tied them to a spike until the rains subsided and the soil hardened again

Thanks to everyone who replied to my dilema. I have staked the cannas, but because I planted them so thick...and they toppled over one another, they're too heavy and will have to be cropped. Plus, the soil is so loose....I should prep the beds better for next year. Also I plan to set up a support system similar to what wineries use to support grape vines. Thanks to all!
