the problem is that canas do very well in the sun. The lack of sunlight will slow down the flower production, and the rate that it multiplies. Omega is a good choice. Maybe Orange Beauty? Will they get any sunlight at all?

Maybe a little morning sun. The rest of the day they will be under the shade of a 60 foot Silver Maple tree. I was hoping I could create a screen of canna for their foliage (don't even care if they flower). Right now I have a Canna Musafolia that isn't looking very happy there. My other Musafolia in a half day of sun is growing much better in a different location.

Other than EEs and F. Rufa, I'm having trouble finding tall "tropical looking" plants that will do well under my Silver Maple tree.

I have some red stripe that I grow in the shade behind my pond, it just gets a little morning sun and it's 8' tall right now. The flowers bloom a later in the summer but leaf color makes up for it.
