In early spring I got some canna bulbs from home depot. I opened the package and only planted one immediatly. the other three I couldnt get to for a couple days. Their green stems turned black. I planted them anyway. I tried to dig them up yesterday but I couldnt find them. could the black stems been a sign that they were bad? Also my bleeding hearts were planted at the same time and they didnt show up either. The first canna I planted (in a pot) came up about four inches, but never bloomed. did my bulbs rot?
