I have not had any probs with wind with my Canna A once they establish

Actually, I was searching about Australia Canna. I found out that someone responded to my other A Canna post. She said that it's possible that the A Canna I receive is a seedling. She said, it will be fine next year. :)

I have a Australia canna and it does seem to be thinner than most. I have it planted in a pot and has no protection from the wind, but it has not suffered any damage at all. I think because the leaves are not as wide as the other types, the wind does not affect it much.

I think, I know now the reason why the leaves weren't firm. When I got them, the leaves were already open. It's the same thing that happened to my musa basjoo. When I got it, it had 3 open leaves. After 3 days or 1 week, the leaves were at total disaster. Then I noticed that newer leaves are stronger. It doesn't get affected anymore by strong winds. So I'm hoping that cannas will be the same.

By the way, I have a mystique that is like 10 inch to 1 ft tall. Should I dig the rhizome or just bring them in the house so it continues to grow?
