I am in zone 5/6 and wondering if I can overwinter Cleopatra canna as a houseplant. It has been in shallow water all summer in my pond in a pot. Will it continue to grow if I bring it indoors? Thanks in advance for any help.
Do you have a bright sunny window? I had a couple of cannas last year that didn't grow much, so I overwintered inside. They didn't grow a lot, or bloom, but they survived fine. I was just worried they didn't have enough healthy tuber to survive winter storage. I have 4 cannas I received in trade late in the season I will probably winter over that way. I think Cleopatra has such nice foliage it would make a nice houseplant.
