On the Dahlia forum I was told I HAD to divide my Dahlia tubers either in the fall or spring because if I don't, the Dahlia will just live off its stored energy and not bother to make much effort to flower. Do you think this is true for Cannas, too? I have plenty of divisions already, plus two large clumps of 'Striata/Bengal Tiger/Pretoria' I was planning to just re-plant in the spring the way they are.
