Wow!!! I've never seen this before. I looked around, and there is indeed such a thing as a White varient Monarch. That is too cool for school!!!

Wow, you have one of the White Monarchs! The recessive gene must have been present in your male and female. Hope you get more.

Wow - how interesting! That's got to be one of the famous white Hawaiian monarchs. I guess they came about as a result of continued inbreeding, not too unusual on an island.

thanks:-) I was flabbergasted myself:-D. I thought it was actually rare even here in Hawaii. I read they exist also in Australia and New Zealand. but never in a million that I would see one yesterday. I am new to this, and I have 2 more chrysalides, plus 24 cats. all of the eggs are from different host plants all over my yard. I heard its a genetic mutation.
