Ang, if any of my asters go to seed, i'll save some for you. They usually freeze before they do, though.

From the looks of what's to come, i think we're out of luck. Couldn't last forever, could it? :) Hope someone else has aster seeds, then, Ang.

I have pink and some blue asters. I can get blue forsure but pink is just starting to open.

Marcia, that's too bad, but mostly because that means your forcast doesn't look too good then. :(

It's looking kinda white out there now, Ang. Hope it doesn't get too cold, though - maybe some of the asters will tough it out. We'll see.

Same here, most of my late flowering perennial Asters don't have enough time to produce viable seed. The only two that blooms early for me is Aster laevis Smooth Blue Aster, this is a wildflower but looks really nice and dainty in the garden too.
And Aster sedifolius nanus, but I'm not sure about enough seed, I'll check on Monday on my day off ;)

I guess that makes sense -- late blooming would mean little or no time for setting seed around here!
