Canadian Winter Sowing

Verbena Seedlings-Poor Condition

Please help, I started my verbena seeds in a warm, dark spot. Today, I checked them and they were about 1/2 tall. I then moved from there dark spot and put them under my glo-lights. When I got home from work today they were all bent in half and looked very bad. What did I do wrong?

You sowed them indoors ;)

Winter Sowing is a method where you sow your seed into containers/covers and placed them outdoors in the snow and let Ma Nature do her thing. There is a FAQ at the mother board link below.

I am sorry I guess I put it in the wrong forum. I have never heard of winter sowing. I am going to tackle sowing indoors first! Thanks.
