I've had this Nepenthes since around the beginning of summer/late spring of last year, and I have two questions. What kind of Nepenthes is it? Does the plant look healthy? To me it doesn't seem too healthy because all the pitchers it produces are short-lived.
Well I just recently moved it outside which probably wasn't a good idea especially because I'm gone this whole week, but I'll see if it's still alive after I get back. But it was under a compact fluorescent bulb and I was using a distilled water to water it. Originally it was in a terrarium, but I moved it out a couple days ago to make more room on my windowsill (this picture was taken when it was living in the terrarium). Also the windowsill it's been on was facing west.
Bright, indirect light is all it needs light wise. I wouldn't give it any direct sun, the leaves tend to redden and burn. I'm not sure of the name of that particular one.
Yes, it was from a cube of death. Oh and just for the record I have moved it back inside on my westward facing windowsill, and it's not in a terrarium.
I need some advice on diseases of nepenthes. I can't find any info on how to deal with it. I have a ventricosa and it has cinnamon colored streaks and indented dots the same color and it seems to be advancing fast. Any ideas as to what it might be and how to fight it? I have a new computor and I'm having trouble figuring out how to post the picture.
You need to use a hosting site like photobucket. Download pics to host site then copy HTML code under your picture at host site and paste it in your message. It might help to start your own thread.
{{gwi:548832}} Another look at my problem, and what can I do to treat it? Ive got 1 more shot to put up so until I can figure out Photobucket and this damned computor bear with me?
