Being impatient is the worst thing for CPs. I'm not sure it's rust but if it is then a sulfur based fungicide should do the trick. Safer brand is suggested.

LOL! Impatience is rough on humans as well. Vulcans are easier.

My nepenthes have rust spot. I read that this is a fugi and that I should use a fungicide. can this hurt my plant and do you recomend any fungicides that are sofe for my nepenthes?

Hi Shawn,

Nepenthes are pretty tough. We use Safer brand sulfur based fungicide, and sometimes Neem, but most fungicides would be safe when used as directed. Just avoid copper based ones such as Microcrop. They seem to be toxic to many cp and delicate plants.

That's funny Jim! That's where I got the safer suggestion from. Never had a fungus problem...yet.

I just did a Google search, since I really don't know anything about rust on CP's. That was one of the top / most appropriate topics.

Having said that, I use a product called Garden Safe, which contains Neem oil, as an alternative to drowning aphids.
