I've overwintered spicebush swallowtail chrysalids many times, Mary - I've got a few chrysalids now. I don't know how the different weather conditions in your part of Florida affect them, though. If you want them to overwinter, you might try keeping them in a dark place - of course, you'll need to check on them every day to see if any have emerged regardless of the darkness, at least that's what I do.
My p. incarnata always quits earlier than any of my other passis - I've got quite a few gulf frit cats still outside eating other vines, like p. biflora and my new ones, p. reflexiflora, p. eichleriana, p. loefgrenii, p. 'Amethyst', p. 'Anastasia', and p. amethystina.
I think it's wonderful that you're raising more zebra longwings! Getting a variety of passis has lengthened my gulf frit season, maybe it can help you to do the same with your zebras.
It's been feeling and looking like winter here lately. The sun finally came out today, and they're saying it should get up to the low 70's, so a warming trend is on. It won't be getting hot, though, at least that's what they're saying!
