Confusion on Sunday.

Bill, Thanks for posting the pictures of Confusion. I also got this cutting from Eddie in the fall of 09. Last fall it started to bloom and my blooms looked exactly like yours. It bloomed quite heavily but at least 90% of the blooms were deformed and never fully opened. I even tried to help it along by actually tearing open the outer layer because it seemed to have such a hard time getting out. The few blooms that were "normal" were a very pretty fluffy white bloom with a lovely unique light scent. I thought I would give it one more chance this year, but unfortunately, it did the same thing. Due to the extremely hot, dry weather we have had here in Georgia this year, I made the decision to discard this brug. It's like abandoning a someone you really care about, but now after seeing someone else have the same problems, I am comforable with my decision. Don't mean to discourage you, I have over 44 varieties, and I must downsize for next year. Please keep the pictures coming. I have really enjoyed them! Roy

I am thinking the same thing. It doesn't seem like this flower wants to reach it's potential. I like the smell. I just don't know if it will ever be trouble free. It seems more deformed than beautiful or unique. I will let it continue for the rest of the year but onless it makes a dramatic turnaround I won't be sending any cuttings from it or growing it next year.

Bill, if you do decide to not try this one further, I do want to try this one here in my area. Maybe see if I can get it going in my area. Who knows... No risk, no reward right? :)
