I've never seen a sanguinea with coloration like that. To my understanding they were just reddish-orange. beautiful plants though, my ventricosa is going through a wierd pitcherless phase, I'm going to try what RainforestGuy suggested, hopefully it will work. I just hope the poor little nep I bought from home depot will live (Home Depot DOES NOT know how to take care of these plants.)

Don't get advice on exotic plants from a general garden store. Their job is to help you kill them so you go back and purchase more garden products you don't really need.

N. sanguinea comes in many many colors. Wild populations are often inter-crossed with other species such as macfarlanei, ramispina, etc.Some say their variation in coloration is due to these back crosses retaining colros even though they have crossed back into its true bloodline to stay as N. sanguinea.

Wow! Your one is beautiful too, I think the little one I bought from Home Depot is a sanguinea, though I'm not sure.

Hey mines come from a home depot too! just put it in sphagnum moss (100%), with 75-95% humidity, 24-35Celcius during the day, and look how mine is doing, its only 1 1/2yo too! Awesome pict "RainforestGuy" I do not have much space here so i prefer my plant to remain small. (for now!)
