First of all, that's just odd that a Wal-Mart would be selling Nepenthes :p I've never even seen a Venus Flytrap at my local Wal-Mart!

Anywho, cut off all those dried up pitchers. Cut them where the vine meets the actual leaf. That way the plant can still peform photosynthesis with the green leaf it has left (this is assuming all the leaves are still green and not all brown and dried up as well.)

Just keep that Nep in good conditions and in a few weeks you'll start seeing some new pitchers!

By the way, how much did you pay for it and how big is the plant?

Both plants have green leaves alaround and I paid $17 for two plants ina pot, I tell you the largest one that was there there was had a dried up pit chet at least 6 inch long.

I think I will got back later to see if I get a good cocciena as It seems that I got two mirandas in one pot.

The one of the the pnats is pretty big cause by the sizes of the pitchers alone and the leave span of about5 to 9 inches long the second plants looks to be a like a medium sizes.

The pitchers dried up because the plant was place into new conditions it is not accustom too. Getting the plant as soon as it arrived at Wal-Mart would have had the same result, just at your house.
It seems to take about 2 to 3 months for neps to settle into there new surroundings and start to pitcher.
That is exactly what happened to my N. hamata when I got it. It had 5 or 6 nice pitchers on it. In a few hours they were starting to dry up. Seeing a N. hamata without any pitchers was a sad site. It took about 2 months before it started to pitcher for me again. Now it pitchers non stop. Here a picture from a few months ago.

I've had my Nepenthes Miranda for about 3 months and grew some new pitchers. The pitchers all started to dry up about two weeks ago--I transplanted it to a bigger pot--and the leaves spread out and look very green and (I think) happy. It's getting cold here in NY and the heat sometimes comes on.I spray it daily, if not twice. It is also hanging with many other plants, including ferns which are kept in trays of stones and water, so I think the atmosphere should be damp enough.Does it need to be fertilized- and if so how? Is African Violet fertilizer OK? What else can I do to get it through the winter (indoors of course) and to get it to blossom again?

Keep it in a bright window and keep the soil moist until spring. That's it. I don't feed my Neps until spring. I use orchid food diluted to 1/4 strength.
