It's taking energy that could be applied to rooting and unless you have another nepenthes in flower there's no need to keep it. I would cut it off. I believe it takes a male and female plant to pollinate and make seeds anyway so it is useless unless you have both.

Okay, this is getting ridiculous... I agree with the above advice! Indeed, you will require the gametes of the opposite gender plant in order to produce seeds. Otherwise, it makes for a nice picture and it would be wise top put the energy into the rest of the plant. Take a picture before you snip anything!

What is getting ridiculous petiolaris?I know nothing about nepenthes flowering habits or that it needs another plant for pollination.Thing is,i never expected it to flower so i never bothered!Anyway the pics:

Number 1 is or was the first flower stalk that i chopped off,number 2 is the new one!Not one but two?!I start to think ill never get a decent rootball until frost hits...
