Kitchen floor ideas

I know there are a plethora of choices out there for us to choose from. But I would like to get some opinions on what we could do with this kitchen floor (DIY). It is now lenoleum which is awful. However, this kitchen meets up with the living room in an open floor plan next to the backyard doors( high traffic). I intend to match better counters after a floor choice...
