We've had an exceptionally wet winter so it's possible it succumbed but I doubt it. Members of the mallow family like it hot and sometimes they take a little longer to start growing. Wait it out.

Fortunately, they are easily propagated from cuttings in spring so if you lost it, ask around and someone near you will probably help you by rooting a stem cutting once growth starts. RJ

Mine hasn't shown any signs of life yet so be patient, it's still too early to give up hope. I have seen them sprout from the base when winters were too cold - but they always came back.

Nothing showing on ours here in Clayton... yet - large clumps or individual plants. After a week in the 80's, I'm sure we'll be seeing some new growth shortly.

I have a friend in lousiburg, and hers have sometimes not shown up til june. Definitely give it a bit- the mallow family tends to wake up late. I don't have the confederates, but do have 3 other family members and they all take their sweet time.
