it depends, if you live in zone 7-6 or less you might need some muching, if you live in zone7 or higher then you should be fine. Venus fly Trap need at least a whole day of direct sun so find a sunny backyard or frontyard and water with rainwater,R/O water, or Distilled water.

I have the opposite problem (not enough chill) The reply given to me by the Atlanta Bo gardens Was a chill period of 32/55 for 3/4 months. This is "ideal" but can be shaved on both parameters . This would give you an idea where to locate your plants. Might add that the min temps for growing season (other 8 months) is 65 .
Would guess your area has much lower winter temps and maybe more duration??.
Is your normal winter near those parameters.?? Couldn't pin them down on how much shaving can be done but at least +/_ 2 weeks. 32 being most important and no temps above 65 during dormancy.
Must be several methods for your area??? gary
