Meyer Lemon Flowering

I purchased a young meyer lemon this past spring and kept it outside until late October, whereupon it was placed into my greenhouse. Approximately one month ago the tree began flowering and with a little help from yours truly, little lemons appeared. There are 4 large lemons that have not turned yellow yet, but most of the new lemons are turning color and dropping. Is this normal, given it is a young tree or is something possibly going on here. Thanks for your help.

congrats!! citrus in general "know" how much fruit they can support and drop what they cant. Its perfectly normal what your tree is doing. The ones that stay on should be ripe around fall. If you want the tree to focus only on growing bigger you can remove all the fruit.

What is the "help from yours truly" that produced the lemons? The Meyer flower is a perfect flower; i.e., it doesn't need help from anyone or anything to produce fruit; but if you want seeds, you need bees. FYI the Meyer is perhaps the sweetest blossom of all the citrus family; so if there is a been within half a mile, it will come to taste the nectar.
