Yukiokoshi

I was browsing the Joy Creek Nursery web site last spring and couldn't resist the Yukiokoshi's picture.

The bloom is double and white with green and the edge is tinted with red.

My pic is not so double and doesn't have a red tint.

Still I love this coloring.

I stumbled on Joy Creek quite by accident while looking for hosta. Their selection of clematis was unbelievable. I didn't know there were so many cultivars. I ordered a fabulous lavender one, a double with a lot of fuzzy stamens in the middle. It was named Vyvyen something-or-other. I'll try to do better with names.

I've been reading here and am glad to find clematis will do okay in pots. What is the best potting medium?
