Here are a few pics of a Mrs. Cholmondeley that I planted two years ago. Last spring/summer, it never emmerged from it's winter rest and I of course, assumed the worst. I kept faith and would routinely water the spot and hope for the best, but sadly she never emerged. This spring to my surprise, the lovely Mrs. Cholmondeley peaked through her mulch winter covers and proudly scaled the side of our deck.

Next spring I plan on installing some vinyl mesh on the side of the deck to facilitate easier climbing and a bit neater form. Hope she doesn't repeat her disappearing act again next year!
