Gianty..most professional growers use Propagators in their nurseries but an easy and foolproof way for you to do it is to take a vine and with a razor blade...gently nick it near a leaf axil dust with rooting hormone powered and pin it down and cover with soil..remember to water that area..keeping it moist..check in about 6 weeks for roots growing..if now pin back down under the soil and continue ..it should grow roots and you can cut from the mother plant..this is called layering..I will provide a link that might better show you how to do this..goodluck...Jeanne

Hi Jeanne,
What I have is a Florida Sieboldii in a large pot. In the spring I take it out of cold storage,hard prune and away we go. Well during the winter months it starts to regrow, it will have 40 or more new soft shoots sprouting from the old wood. It's these new shoots I want to root. Layering won't work and I'm still not having any sucess with the bubbler set up. What are you refering to as a clematis propagator used by the Pros? Thanks Gianty.
