boxed clematis

Just bought a box of 5 Nelly Mosers and I've only grown clematis previously from a grown plant.... not sure what to do...it's almost April and still too cold to do anything outside. Can I plant all 5 in one very large pot indoors or should they be in seperate pots? When can they go outside? Also, what soil should go in the pot? Miracle grow? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks

I would plant each in a 1 gallon pot. Move outside as the weather permits, but care for them in the pots until you have roots coming out of the bottom of the pot. Probably this Fall, but maybe next Spring. When they start developing vines pinch off the tips.

Any good potting soil is fine.
