You can thank La Nina! The jet stream sinks further south and colder air invades from the north. Eastern Canada has had one of the very worst winters on record for snowfall, while we in Alberta had enjoyed an awesome sunny and mild Feb and March ... though, now the weather has turned colder and I'm sure we're gonna pay dearly for all those nice days!

Wow, Violetta. Sure has been another topsy turvy ride so far this year. We are way warmer than we should be for this time of year. Still behind normal on rainfall so far this year after ending up 14 inches in deficit from last year. I am still predicting that we will have another return to frigid weather before the warmer weather remains intact. I figure my guesses are as valid as the weather guessers. Sure would be nice to have a job where you can be so wrong about something and still have a job!

It's so amusing and yet frustrating. It's been like that two mornings in a row, and today was worse than yesterday. I can't believe I've been driving to work in white-out conditions in late March.

Miguel, that's awful about your rainfall. I'm still hoping that things will turn around for you guys. Last year was just frightening.

Spokane had the worst winter in 10 years. We had two inches of snow yesterday and it has been extremely cold. So much for global warming.

Snow in Ontario at this time of year is something that could easily happen. Snow in Portland at this time of year is freaky.

Violetta, I would take your snow in a heartbeat. Moisture is moisture in any form. Snow at this time of year here has happened in the past but we haven't had a good snowfall in so many years that I can't remember when it happened last. I would rather that it stay seasonably cold for this time of year instead of this 75+ degree weather. Can't wait to see what Mother Nature has in store for us this summer! I can handle cold--put on more clothes. Heat and humidity--well there is only so much you can take off and not be arrested! LOL

It rained the snow away in a matter of minutes at my house but I'm so sick and tired of the rain I'm about to go postal.

This was spring break here and the merchants at the coast desperately needed a big dose of business but it was raining and snowing and they didn't get it. I'm leaving monday on a three day business trip to the coast and they won't be in a mood to buy. Dang it. I am a commission sales person.

I am postal about the lack of rain BorS, although I did wake up this morning to find it raining. Yeah!!! Last summer I began to wonder if I would ever see it rain again! I personally love sitting and watching it rain. A good thunderstorm is really fascinating to me!

Sorry about the weather and its affect on your income. That would suck!!

A friend of mine from Edmonton, Alberta is visiting Vancouver and had said that yesterday the snowflakes there were coming down the size of meatballs ... never quite heard it described as such, lol.

I watched about 2" of hail fall in under 5 minutes yesterday afternoon, and it was still piled up on my balcony when I left for work this morning. It completely filled all the containers that are out there and was overflowing over the edges.
