I've always allowed my plant to 'rest' when natural light is most limited, i.e., late fall/winter. However, one can't argue with success. Since your Clivia is obviously thriving (producing pups & blooms), I'm inclined to simply advise you to keep doing what you've been doing -- even though your 'schedule' is the exact opposite of mine.

As for repotting, I'd wait until this bloom cycle has ended & then repot to an only slightly larger container. If you should want to alter your watering schedule, I think the very best time to begin would coincide with repotting -- esp since (in this instance) you'd be entering the 'wet' season & perhaps reducing transplanting shock by keeping the medium moist. Changing the schedule might alter the time of the year that your Clivia comes into bloom.

I imagine the schedule you're following closely approximates, in real time, the climate cycle found in Clivia's native habitat (southern hemisphere) where the seasons are flip-flopped.

Yes, I will wait until the end of the bloom cycle and then repot. I'll have to have a look around the neighborhood to see what other outdoor plants are doing and see if I'm out of sync. It does seem pretty happy; I think I have had this one for a good five years or so.

I too am wondering when it would be best to repot some of my plants. These are hybridized and will have seeds. I think I read in the Koopowitz book that it was alright to repot anytime in California but that with seeds, perhaps Fall would be a better time. For those of you who have done this, would appreciate your input. My fear is knocking the seeds off accidentally. With my lack of experience, I certainly can do that!
